Use pairings of foreign key IDs and primary key IDs. This is called a one-to-many relation. Relations become editable by means of list boxes without using the ID numbers. In a list box you put an ID number into the foreign key field by selecting the respective textual info. The ID numbers are unambiguous row references so you never store the same info twice.
