Some of us enjoy the native mysql support available from OpenOFFICE. I believe we obtained the extension directly from the OPEN OFFICE site. I have not been successful locating it at the LibreOffice site.

It was a delight to not have to use the odbc and/or java drivers just to access mysql data via OOBase.

I look forward to when my favorite first class distribution offers the mysql-extension in it's repositories.
Other distros have this extension available for LibreOfficeBase now.

This missing package will have an adverse effect on several projects.

I downloaded the extension for openoffice located at the link below.

It installs and works, but it is BRANDED ORACLE.
