Same problem here and using latest Mac OS X Lion 10.7 beta (build 11A494A) - no matter what format you try to save it in, the same error occurs. "Error saving the document...testfile.odt is not a file" where testfile.odt was just an example name. The same errors occurs when using the export feature.
