Assume I draw some objects with Draw. Now I want to export them as a
*.png picture file into a local directory. When I do this then
currently the whole page is always exported (with a lot of white
uninteresting space around it).
So I need somehow to selected only a part of the page. How can I do
this in detail? How can I select e.g. a rectangle area with the
objects 1,2, 5 and 11 and an additional white space of 10 pixel
around them and export only this rectangle area?
o Drag the cursor to form an empty rectangle over the objects. It
will shrink to contain just your objects.
o With the eight green handles still showing, go to File |
Export..., select your required format, and tick Selection at the
foot of the Export dialogue.
If you want extra white space around the objects, you could add extra
objects. The simplest way is probably to add small objects at
opposite corners of the rectangle you want to save and then make
these invisible or white. Drag a rectangle to include these and
proceed as above.
I trust this helps.
