Mmm, that's weird, too. Because it works for me.
I just opened up new document, insert new frame, insert a table in
frame. No content whatsoever.
No other character (incl. end-of-paragraph mark) before/after the table?
How did you anchor your frame? Anchor as character will not work obviously.
I've tried all anchoring options. And yes, As character won't work, as
designed.
