Hi :)
You might have more luck asking the devs or posting as a feature request (ie
post as a bug-report but use the drop-downs to select "feature request"
somewhere, i'm not sure which of the drop-downs, sorry!).

I would go for feature request just to avoid dealing with the potential
religious war that happens everywhere else about different OSes.  I'm not sure
our devs go in for that as they seem too prolific to have time for that sort of
thing.
Regards from
Tom :)

Flogging a dead horse, perhaps, but I would like to see some sort of resolution
to this.

LibreOffice writer allows you to create custom keyboard shortcuts. It appears
that the Macintosh is somewhat possessive about system shortcuts, and so the
Macintosh version does not behave as expected.

A large number of available keyboard shortcuts use the control key (^) -- as
opposed to the command key. I assume that control key short cuts on Macintosh
correspond to Windows alt-key short cuts, while command key short cuts on
Macintosh correspond to Windows control-key shortcuts.

On the Macintosh, control-key shortcuts do not work at all. If you assign a
control-key shortcut to any operation (I am trying to assign them to styles,
but I have tried other operations), it will either be ignored (such as
control-H) or by hijacked by the Macintosh system operation (such as control-h).

Now, somebody has gone through the effort of putting the control-key symbols in
the corresponding list, so I assume that it's supposed to work.

Is there anybody with a Macintosh who can throw some light on this? Surely one
of the developers of the Mac version? The only clue I can offer is that I have
downloaded the NeoOffice product and failed there as well, so it may be a bug
inherited from further back.

Thanks,

Mark
