The F3 key is used by LO to complete AutoText and not to repeat an
action (Find for example).
Below the vertical slide bar is an area with double arrows and a
"circle" between them. It really is a tool for navigation. Click the
"circle", and a windows opens with many things you can select.
If you open the Find dialog and begin a search, you can use the
double arrows to search for the next occurrence. It will continue to do
so even if the Find dialog is closed. When one of these arrows are
clicked, a search will be made for whatever was last selected as the
search criterion.
This is in addition to the Find toolbar that Regina mentioned.
