Sorry to continue asking elementary questions, I'm having a devil of a time getting LO 3.6.4.3 to behave.
I cannot change the foreground color (i.e., the color of selected text) - pressing on the text-color icon in the toolbar has no effect. Setting background color works, sort of - I get a color, but not the one I've chosen. I've tried changing the color setting in Options > LibreOffice > Appearance between Font: automatic (shows black in box)) and Font: Black. Neither of these make a difference; color selection from the toolbar still doesn't work.
