Try this:
1. In chart editing mode draw a rectangle into the chart. If the drawing toolbar is not visible, you can activate it via View -> Toolbars.
2. From the context menu of the rectangle choose the item 'area'.
3. On the dialog page 'Bitmaps' click on 'import' and select the picture of your choice or use the pattern editor to make some simple dot-bitmap. 4. If you want this bitmap for further documents, you have to save the bitmap list.
5. Close the dialog.
6. Delete the rectangle.
Now you should have your own bitmap in the bitmap list.
