I guess I wasn't clear, but yes, of course, I went to Page > Format
and chose the appropriate setting (how else would I be able to
confirm that BOTH Letter AND Legal work as expected?)...
Sorry: didn't mean to insult your intelligence. It's just that many
users of Microsoft Office (which you mentioned) expect the Printer
Settings selection to be how you set the page size.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. I see Regina Henschel has suggested
exporting to PDF and printing from your favourite PDF reader: this
has often been a useful workaround for people.
