Stephen,

Look under TOOLS >> OPTIONS >> LIBREOFFIC >> VIEW. There you will see
the settings used for the LO UI. "Use System Fonts..." is probably
selected. You can change the system fonts in the Cinnamon Settings >>
Appearance >> Fonts
