Hi :) So i suspect the only work-around at the moment is to go back to the 4.0.6 for the main production machine and maybe test-drive the 4.1.x or 4.2.x every once in a while.
I tend to switch auto-save and anything like that off and then just kick myself if i forget to save often enough.
