No, in fact if there is anything else I can supply, let me know. I use LibreOffice: Version: 4.1.5.3 Build ID: 410m0(Build:3) supplied with openSUSE13.1. I'll see if there is a 4.2.3 version in the repos and see if I get the same issues you see.
Like I said the other day, I tried opening a bug, but could not get it yo accept the .docx document as an attachment.
