I haven't been to the LibreOffice site for a while, so was startled to find
I could download my choice of Still or Fresh.

What happened to dev, alpha, beta, release candidate, or stable versions?

People using commercial software across different operating systems have
become used to this nomenclature. Those in the open-source movement are
even more familiar with it.

So why the change? It is not even intuitive. If the aim is to make releases
more understandable to newcomers, this scheme fails badly. A case of a rose
by any other name stinks.
