But i don't know the answer myself.  I've not seen that particular question
before.  Usually people get stuck with trying to get any video embedding to
work at all so i'm impressed with how far you have got.

Out of curiosity have you considered an "artistic work-around" such as
making the 2nd frame a crackly white-noise/snow, to make it look as though
the weird start was a deliberate teaser?
