I've tried Libreoffice version 4.3 and 5.0.3. I'm using the stable
version Debian Linux x64. I choose a document background that is 80%
Gray. Then I choose black or automatic for font color. This selection is
visible in the Options dialog, but is ignored in document, and the font
color becomes white (or maybe it's beige).
The software seems to force a certain amount of contrast between font
color and document color. Only light font color choices (yellow, light
green, etc.) are honored on an 80% gray document background, but if I
change the document background to 70% gray, then I can set font color to
black or blue.
What I've found out about this problem from searching online is that
accessibility options of both the software and the OS can cause this. I
don't have any accessibility options selected in Libreoffice. I'm not
using a high-contrast desktop theme. I turned off the only OS
accessibility feature I had on (mouse emulation) and nothing changed.
Please help.
