strange, but maybe I can help, [see comments interspersed below]
From: Eric Beversluis <ebe...@researchintegration.org> Date: Fri, Apr 1, 2016 at 2:29 PM Subject: [libreoffice-users] Select/copy content of a comment To: users@global.libreoffice.org How do I select and copy the content of a comment? [if you're referring to a website, then run the mouse along the copy which should highlight that portion, then right-click & choose copy which should place the highlighted text in the temporary storage so you can paste it elsewhere; if you're referring to an e-mail, then you can attempt to do the same - but sometimes, you'll have to first click as if you were planning to send the document elsewhere in order to make the copy accept the mouse - why, I haven't a clue ;-)] When I open the comment and try to select its content, all I get is a hand to move the content around on the page. [whether referring to a site or an e-mail, you could 'save as' this document to the machine, then try again when it's on your machine - why, this works I haven't a clue other than you've possibly broken whatever the site had holding it ;-)] (Eg, I've got a long URL in the comment that I want to copy and past into the browser.) The page on inserting and editing comments doesn't seem to address this function. [simplest method would be to copy a portion of this URL - paste into a notepad document; then copy remaining portion of URL - paste this onto the portion in notepad - then the whole URL is ready to copy & paste into your browser window.] thanks. -- Eric Beversluis www.ericbeversluis.com -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
