Does that result occur just for that particular worksheet or any worksheet

It takes down all open calc windows.
Which delete option are you using: Shift cells up, Etc?
Shift cells up
What is the file format and origin of the worksheet?
The files are all .ods The spread sheets have been around in there present format for several years (OpenOffice and before). It has not been a problem until recently.

Good Morning,

If I try to delete cells (Sheet--> Delete Cells), Calc crashes and the
file is not recoverable. Is there a fix?

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and LibreOffice 5.1.4.2

Thanks,
Jay
