The problem is how to anchor an image so it doesn't float around with the text.
Drag image(s) from Gallery or File Browser onto the document. Right-click image and select Properties. On the Position & Size tab select the Anchor to Page option. Resize and position image as desired. Repeat for additional images. Beware of image size, if you use large (high resolution) images it will increase your template file size and slow loading of document. To optimize use an external image tool to resize images to the desired size. You can set page margins in Format > Page Style > Page (LO 7, menu labels may vary with version). Unfortunately this creates a single page only, the images do not automatically propagate to additional pages. If multiple pages needed, it is possible to add a Frame to the document (fit to fill entire page, Anchor = Page, Wrap = Through, In Background = True) and anchor the images to the Frame, then you can copy and paste the frame from one page to another, and all the images copy along. I was unable to drag an image from file browser that allows anchoring to frame, but can add images to Gallery, and from Gallery drag onto the frame, then there's an anchor to frame option. Hope this helps. Joe On 7/14/24 21:28, Blaine Shaffer wrote:
I am creating a template for a school teacher using Writer. What I want to do is have clipart images around all four borders, then, when the template opens, the images are there, but the text margins will be set to, probably, .75-inches on all four sides. Can you please help me with how to set the images in place then have the text margins different?
