I am not sure if this is a LO or OS problem. Have you checked which locales are installed in the OS? In a terminal: locale -a Normally the US English "pidgin" is installed as the default for software, to which you should have added the mother tongue. If you need to change settings, see: https://codelucky.com/locale-command-linux/ > > I do not thence know whether the problem lies with Libre Office > itself > for the automatic inclusion of the extraneous language packs, or, > whether it lies with the Ubuntu package maintainer. If your locales are correct, this is likely a packing problem and should be reported as a bug on Mint. > > But, If I could find how to perform a simple (?) blanket removal > (including the thence blocking of further downloads) of the > extraneous > language packs, it would be useful, including making Libre Office and > future updates, more efficient and less bloated. That removal is likely possible, but I will leave that to others. > -- Roy -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
