If my SGE installation has never used rqs before, How do I enable it?
I ask because I wrote a test:
qconf -srqs econ_mushovec
{
name econ_mushovec
description NONE
enabled TRUE
limit users {msuhovec} hosts {@econ_d8copt_24G} to slots=48
}
don't use the curly braces here. They define the limit for each entry
in the list, i.e. 48 slots for each machine.

I believe this to read "limit user msuhovec (that's me) to 48 slots
within hostgroup @econ_d8copt_24G"
Trying it, I am able to request and run more than 48 cores from
machines within that hostgroup, so I didn't get something right.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi-
I have a subset of users with exclusive access to a particular
group of execution hosts.
Is there to limit the max number of cores a user in this group may
request, to keep any
one user from gobbling up all the hosts in that particular
hostgroup. I do not wish for
this limit to apply to our entire cluster; just to this one group
of users and their machines.
Assuming cores == slots, use an rqs to limit slots by users and hosts.
The rqs man page is unclear and I haven't got round to foixing it.
