Hi,

What are the acceptable Grid Engine methods to add additional cells into the
main distribution area?

Say, my main cell is called cluster1 and my new cell is going to be testcluster

cluster1 info:

SGE_ARCH=lx-amd64
SGE_CELL=cluster1
SGE_EXECD_PORT=10005
SGE_QMASTER_PORT=10004
SGE_ROOT=/software/gridengine/soge
SGE_CLUSTER_NAME=cluster1

testcluster info:

SGE_ARCH=lx-amd64
SGE_CELL=testcluster
SGE_EXECD_PORT=11005
SGE_QMASTER_PORT=11004
SGE_ROOT=/software/gridengine/soge
SGE_CLUSTER_NAME=testcluster

The manual method of copying, renaming, and change init variable values.... is
ok to use, but
I've not used the ge normal methods for adding a new cluster/cell yet,
especially with a
production cluster running....and the new cluster not installed yet.

Note: cluster1 is in production and cannot be interfered with.

Thoughts? Looks like things should be covered with the install scripts, but
testcluster does not yet exist....

Thanks,

Ed Lauzier
