I know I'm a bit late to this discussion, but I wanted to chime in,
anyway. I just noticed I'm having the same problem on a cluster I just
took over administration for. This only happens with error notifications
when a job fails - the messages bodies are sent as attachments. E-mails
for normal behavior (start, completion) send the message as part of the
message body.
