Hi,

I am submitting a job to the grid parallel environment using the command

qrsh -V -cwd -q 'queuename' -l h_vmem=2G -pe 'parallel env name' 4 sleep 20

There are two servers in the queue for example host1 and host2
The total h_vmem configured on the servers is 250G.
After submitting the job the available h_vmem on both the servers is 246G

The job is submitted to host2 but the h_vmem is occupied on both the hosts
host1 and host2

Is this because the allocation rule configured in the queue is $round_robin.

Can anyone please explain.

Regards,
Sudha

Hi,

qstat -F h_vmem -q <queue>@host

is what I typically employ to inspect the current h_vmem on a specific host.

Bests,

NiCo
