Here's another question: On my RHEL servers, all my "people" users actually come from the campus LDAP system, including their uid numbers. In my sssd.conf file, I have an ldap_user_search_base listing who is authorized to log into the server. While the users do not appear in /etc/passwd, getent passwd username shows that they do in fact exist. I can make groups in /etc/group, add users to group (including wheel), and so forth. The only issue is that, upon logon, users get:
/usr/bin/id: cannot find name for group ID 29051 Because there's no local group matching their LDAP-provided uid. Will this be any issue with SGE? Thanks! Matt
