As you can see, many fixes/improvements are accumulated in the master branch[1], i.e. 3.0.0 branch, so groovy 3.0.0 is making progress but moves a bit slow. We wish 3.0.0 GA could be released next year(2019). Absolutely, some milestone releases will be released Before GA.
