It isn't obvious to me from the release notes which of these changes are only for groovy 4 and which will also land in groovy 3.

The beta designator suggests that groovy 4 is now feature complete and only bug fixing remains. Would you be able to talk about the big picture changes that meant we quite quickly went from 3 to 4.

In our open source app [1] we are just starting to do the testing for the groovy 2 -> 3 upgrade, but if we knew a bit more about v4 we might wait for that. Is it likely we'll see a final release this year?
