Help In Groovy 7542

Hi,

     I'm trying to solve one of the issues that is been reported in JIRA.
The id is Groovy 7542.

While I'm understanding the source of Static type checker, there comes a
method called trySubscript in StaticTypesCallSiteWriter.java.

Want to know what that method does.
