Thank you very much for the help. I can now see the problem more clearly. Although I am housing the website my self, the company that sorts out the domain name seems to be doing something strange. This is unfortunately WAY out of my league :( so I'm going to have to ask my big brother (he set up the domain bit for me). Unfortunately he is at the pension show in London until Friday. (stand 42 If your going that way).
Now that you have pointed out the difference I logged on using the ip address instead of the name and all my changes were there. Just for you info, the ip address is a cable modem connect via a router to an old win98 box hiding behind my computer desk. Once again thank you all for your kind help. I tried directly requesting http://www.finca-auroum.co.uk/ using telnet and I get a page which consists of a single frame into which is loaded the contents of http://82.34.24.160/. This second URL is your actual page about the house for rent. However, the browser has loaded the "outer" page (containing the framset) so the browser displays the title from the that outer page and that title is set to the domain-name.
