Upgrading to 2.0.55 should fix this.

rotatelogs should really never segfault.  What version are you using?

If you run find one of the core dump files and run:

  gdb /usr/local/apache20/bin/rotatelogs /usr/local/apache20/core.<pid>
  ...
  (gdb) bt full

what do you get?
