[users@httpd] problem regarding cgi permissions(asap)

hello,

i tried using ScriptAlias and put " / " instead of "  \ "   but same problem

it is indexing when i type http://localhost/sample

This is because you have chosen to use the AddHandler method to define CGIs. This is a per-file method.

An alternative is http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_alias.html#scriptalias which defines a whole directory as CGI and then indexing is not possible.
