q1) Linux me 2.4.27-3-386 #1 Mon May 29 23:50:41 UTC 2006 i586 GNU/Linux
q2) yes from /root
q3) I am going step by step with the manual at
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/install.html and it says under requirements
sections this:

# Build and install apr 1.2
cd srclib/apr
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apr-httpd/
make
make install

# Build and install apr-util 1.2
cd ../apr-util
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apr-util-httpd/ --with-apr=/usr/local/apr-httpd/
make
make install

# Configure httpd
cd ../../
./configure --with-apr=/usr/local/apr-httpd/
--with-apr-util=/usr/local/apr-util-httpd/

I am not sure from the description if I have to install it or not.
Nevertheless, if I do not install it then apache will do? If so the same
problem happens, aren't I right?
