Hi all,
I recently noticed that my hard disk was almost filled up with error
logs of Apache. Every second several log entries were written:
[Sat Oct 21 10:35:06 2006] [notice] child pid 9360 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
I did an strace, and saw that the file /etc/ld.so.nohwcap didn't exist
and so I created it. I did the same for /var/run/nscd/socket (and I had
to install the nscd package). But without effect, the segmentation
faults remained.
In the output of strace I noticed only one other thing that looked like
a problem, a function is called which is not implemented:
set_thread_area({entry_number:-1 -> -1, base_addr:0x809a640,
limit:1048575, seg_32bit:1, contents:0, read_exec_only:0,
limit_in_pages:1, seg_not_present:0, useable:1}) = -1 ENOSYS (Function
not implemented)
Maybe that's the problem?
