I would like to set up a customized message that shows up with or before the password prompt appears. I've been doing some research and it seems like customizing the actual password prompt box is impossible. Is there a way for apache to create a pop up window of some sort displaying the message? I am assuming javascript won't do since that sits behind the apache security layer.
