Hi there,

I'm using an output filter with mod_proxy to apply content
transformation to a proxied application. It's all working fine so far,
except for the fact that mod_proxy does not call the output filter for
error pages.

The code in question is in mod_proxy_http.c, around line 1455 (httpd-2.2.4):

            /*
             * if we are overriding the errors, we can't put the content
             * of the page into the brigade
             */
            if (!conf->error_override || ap_is_HTTP_SUCCESS(r->status)) {

Setting ProxyErrorOverride overrides the error response completely,
which is not what I want.

I don't see any obvious reason for not passing the error page body
through to the output filters, other than no-one needed it so far.

I'm willing to submit a patch to add a configuration setting that can
be enabled to pass the error page body through the output filters.
Does that sound like it might be accepted? Anyone has a better
suggestion?
