connect to http://domain.com:8080/.
Get your host serving a static page.

Then add your proxy statements to replace the static page.

Check the logs (/var/log/apache2/ is the ubuntu default) when something
isn't working.

To figure out what is missing (or done wrong) I'd need to see your whole
config.

Subject: [users@httpd] Apache 2 Reverse Proxy

Here's what I have...
1. Ubuntu 10.04
2. LAMP
3. Request Tracker running with Starman

In a virtual host config I have the following...
ProxyPass / http://domain.com:8080/
ProxyPassReverse / http://domain.com:8080/

The proxy and proxy_http modules have been enabled.

When I go to the site it says I don't have permission to access /.

What am I missing?
