Why are you reading and using examples from docs for the current version of httpd when you are actually using an ancient and soon to be unsupported version of httpd? 2.4 != 2.0
Upgrade to 2.4, or, if for whatever reason you can not do so, and I'm yet to hear a justifiable reason off anybody, then use the docs relevant to your version.
