Hi

I'm new to Apache and I have a number of questions:

1. Installation of Apache

I'm trying to install appache on my PC which runs on Ubuntu 12.04, I have managed to download the httpd-2.4.9 from apaches website in addition to downloading the APR file.

While trying to make install the apr-1.5.1 file I a make: *** [install] Error 1 and I'm not sure what's wrong? Any ideas on how to solve this issue.

Solution :: For above issue, Please find below possible way to solve if you found this type of error while compiling APR. 1) Replace $RM "$cfgfile" line with $RM -rf "$cfgfile" in configure file of APR if you are getting error like "libtoolT" not found.

2. Apache

I'm planning to use Appache as a HTTP server that will contain MPD (Media Presentation Description) which is used to stream video clips adaptively, MPD's are XML files.

Clients or in my case a client will access the clip wirelessly using their laptops and stream this clip.

This is done so that I could capture and analyse the network packages for academic purposes.

Could any one advice me on how best to use Apache this way?
