we are proud to announce that NY6IX, the New York IPv6 Exchange, is
now succesfully in operation. The maintenance-team welcomes all interested
sTLA/pTLA-parties to join up in exchanging native v6-traffic with peers of
your choice.
NY6IX [n.y. six] is based on FastEthernet -switches located in 3 different
co-location/hosting facilities, which in turn are connected together at
Layer 2 using multiple T3-circuits. This is the initial setup, an inter-
connectivity upgrade to Dark Fiber is already planned for Oct/Nov, 2001.
The current locations of availability include:
* Sprint - 111 8th Ave, 5th floor
* Telehouse - 25 Broadway, 5th floor
* TelX - 60 Hudson St, 9th floor
