Are you aware there was a bug in linux kernels where it didn't obey the default route when forwarding packets? I had the same happen to me, and it was resolved by just adding this:
/sbin/route -A inet6 add 3ffe::0/16 gw fe80::ipv4_tunnel dev sit1 /sbin/route -A inet6 add 2001::0/16 gw fe80::ipv4_tunnel dev sit1 Replace "ipv4_tunnel" with the ipv4 address of your tunnel provider's router.
