Hi,
I have what is probably a relatively simple question, but...
I've setup a simple protocol independent multicast server and client. When it is run
in IPv4 mode, the sockaddr structure filled in by recvfrom() in the client has the IP
address of the server where the datagram has come from. However, in IPv6 mode, the IP
address in this structure states that the datagram has come from the localhost address
("::1").
Does anyone know why this might be? Is it an attribute of IPv6 multicast? My setup
is that I have two machines, a RH9 and a RH7.1, connected by a 10/100 switch. No
fancy routing or anything else inbetween.
Thanks,
Craig Blatchford
