We would like to be able to determine (after the fact) the ip route taken by a file/packet.  I know IPV4 cannot do this, but was wondering if ipv6 could.

Can I use the ipv6 Hop-by-Hop extension and destination extension header to collect the ip addresses of the routers in a given path?  If yes, how?
