I know this mailing list is for implementation rather than IPv6 specification but hope that some of the guru out there might help me out or direct me to the concerned mailing list.
I am newbie to IPv6 just going through IPV6 specification. here are few things which are still unclear to me i'll be more than thankful if some one ans me.
1: What is the purpose of last 5 bits in option type . is this any unique number ?if it is. Is there any standard list which maintains this numbering?Can i have any example ??
2: how to assign Alignment requirement like xn+y what this x,n and y shows? I saw RFC 2711 as an example would someone explain why its Alignment requirement is 2n+0 .
3:We can take options of multiple octates is there any upper limit that option size shouldn't exceed a certain number of octets?
