Hi Stuart, I want to bring some help for you ... We are using Jackrabbit as JCA Adapter over Years and it works without any problems. There are also some Testcases for the JCA Adapter where you can look inside to see how it works.
I think not so many users are using Jackrabbit as JCA Adapter but there is although some documentation for the different Application-Servers [http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/FrontPage under Deployment]. Ok some documentation will be outdated ... but it should be a starting point to configure it on newer versions. What application server are you using and what exactly are the problems ? greets claus
