Hi .. Just for clarification ... you are right jackrabbit will create the index by itself. but you can save the time for generating the index if you copy the workspaces with it's indexes ....
If you would like to create the index from scratch on the new cluster member you must have the same workspace folders and also done the step ... -Add that nodename to your DB in JOURNAL_LOCAL_REVISIONS with the number from the original instance greets claus
