and the query:

}

Try 'Gurke*'

That's the SolrJ, the clients-side interface - not the whole of Solr.
As the POM says:

         </exclusion>
       </exclusions>
     </dependency>

Anything else from solr is scoped to "test" (use of embedded solr for
testing).
