KRaft with even number of controllers

Hi All:

In raft algorhithm even number of node should still work. Just the leader 
election could take longer time. Did anybody ever use even number of kraft 
controllers in real application environment? Or anybody ever compared this kind 
of setup with odd number of controllers? Are there any significant performance 
difference?
