SMPP and (reverse) billing?

Hi,

I'm doing some research on using SMPP and I can't seem to find anything regarding adding billing parameters to a submit_sm request. I noticed there is some support for this in UCP but not SMPP.

Does anyone know how this is handled in practice? Are other fields in the submit_sm request "abused" to transport billing parameters? If this is the case, I expect this to be very non-standard and would be problematic to add to Kannel in a generic way!
