Hi Shridhar,

thanks for the answer... I'll try the settings out at the weekend. BTW, will the
device compatibility list be updated sometime ? The listed devices are far from being
complete... I'd think it would be of great help for the users if the list would be
updated and if the sample modem.conf would actually list the devices individually,
because they may need slightly modified settings... keep alive settings etc...

With the help of Andras Fogarasi I get my Nokia 6310i working as a SMSC. I only tested
it for four hours so I cannot make any long-time usage statements, but it's definately
working...

Here's the configuration for the SMSC and the modem:

group = smsc
smsc = at2
modemtype = nokiaphone
sim-buffering = false
keepalive = 30
speed = 19200
pin = 1234
device = /dev/ttyS0
retry = 1

group = modems
id = nokiaphone
name = "Nokia Phone"
detect-string = "Nokia Mobile Phone"
need-sleep = true
keepalive-cmd = "AT+CNMI=1,2,0,1,0;+CBC;+CSQ"
enable-mms = true
message-storage = "SM"

Regards,

Matthias
