Hi,

I'm bright new to kannel. I need to connect to CMG SMSC, but as
telco is very unresponsive, I started with my nokia first to get some
kannel's experience. I have some difficulties, could you help me, please?
RTFM didn't help me

I have kannel 1.2.1.

1\ what is structure of config files? it seems to me, that kannel relies
on some certain expected structure and if my config has for example
superflows white space, kannel dies at startup. That's very odd, is not
it?

2\ could you please explain me differences between sender, receiver
and to? we were playing with this a lot, but I dont understand it still.
Sender is my MSISDN, that shall be clear. But why there are two
fields for recepient? Which one shall I use? to or receiver?
we send sms to phone 00420605849087, but kannel changes
recepient and tries to deliver sms to 1234. why? can it have
some relation to 3\ ?

3\ why cannot I set sender and receiver to same phone number?
I dont have two phones there, so I have to send sms to myself.
But kannel says, it will ignore such message.

4\ where is queue? my first attempt was to send sms to 1234,
after many restarts it still tries to deliver it. where is the queue?
how can I clean it? can I configure this persistance to mysql?

5\ sometimes it tries to send sms "no service specified". I dont try
to send such sms. Where does it come from and why?

6\ if I set get-url, kannel cries, that it needs keyword. even if I set
the %s in get-url. I dont need keyword routing, how to get it away?

7\ kannel works very undeterministically. I dont understand
its behavior. It is very hard to explain, what happens and why.
Now I am in doubt, whether to continue with it. Can someone
confirm me, that he uses kannel in production for commercial service
and it works for him? I am especially interested in CMG/EMI
protocol.

thank you for your answears
